Pastor Bermie and his wife Carmelita
served as pastor for twelve years in the Philippines. They pastored
churches in Central Luzon and Mindanao, Philippines (1984-1996).
They also served for twelve years as directors in Philippine Summer
Education Program camps. In October 1996, he and his family were
transferred to the USA to pastor.
Pastor Bermie served the Pasadena Congregation of the Grace Communion International (formerly WCG) until
2000. In 1997, together with a few members, the NewLife Fellowship
church was planted. He is presently the full time Senior Pastor
for the Los Angeles congregation of the GCI and the Pasadena NewLife
Fellowship. In addition, he serves as a District Pastoral Leader in
Southern California and Hawaii. He is also a member of the American
Association of Christian Counselors.
Carmelita helps as teacher with the Children Church and is a guitarist

all actively involved in ministry. Ben (22 yrs, finished his B.S. in Psychology/Biology
at UCLA), Carmel (21 years, finished her Licensed Vocational Nursing course at Marian College),

Carmel sings and plays the bass guitar while Abel plays (almost any musical instrument!) either the
keyboard, the drums or guitar and David plays the drums. Ben, Carmel,
and Abel serve as Worship Leader from time to time while David ministers
by his hugs, prayers and humor. They are all involved in the congregation's
evangelism and missions projects. The Dizon family is dedicated
to worshiping God, committed to ministry in the church and sharing
the love of Jesus to the community. Pastor Dizon's mom, Verlantina (86 years)
and Mrs. Dizon's mom, Rosie (74 years), live with them.
Pastor Bermie finished his Masters degree (M.A. in Christian Education) at the Haggard School of Theology (Azusa
Pacific University) and had his B.A. Theology degree in Pasadena,
CA. His wife had her B.S. in Chemistry degree in the Philippines
and her theology degree with her husband in Pasadena.

My Life’s
Calling |
 |
| |
My life’s calling is to constantly
trust and exalt our Lord Jesus Christ. And by the grace and power
of God, to fully become all that God has created and saved me for
(Phil. 3:12-14). I will do everything I can to maximize the gifts
I have been given in an effort to give God all the glory and make
a difference for his Kingdom. |
| |
|
| |
My Life's Goals |
 |
| |
 |
I will contribute to the continual
growth and advancement of the body of Christ (the church) on
earth by being involved in the formation and equipping of spiritual
leaders who are capable of multiplying my efforts. If God wills
it, I will seek to plant churches by growing leaders and pastors. |
| |
|
 |
I will be in constant contact with our Lord
Almighty through the Holy Spirit to receive wisdom, courage
and strength. |
| |
|
 |
I will devote quality time to my wife, Carmelita,
in an effort to love her, share my life with her, and be a friend
and encourager for her as she uses her unique gifts, abilities
and interests in serving God. |
| |
|
 |
I will devote my time, treasure, talent
and emotions to my four children, Ben, Carmel, Abel and David
so that they may all be nourished spiritually and will come
to love Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. |
| |
|
 |
I will treat every person I relate with
exactly as I would like to be treated and do all in my power,
with God’s help, to make them feel valued and loved as
individuals of genuine worth. I will share God’s love
to all by sharing to them the greatest gift that God is offering
them (salvation through Christ). |
| |
|
 |
I will love my family by taking care of
this physical body God gave me. I will make sure I get good
diet, exercise, proper sleep and positive attitude so that I
am physically fit for my age and will be able to live out the
Calling God gave me :-). |
| |
|
 |
I will seek to improve myself by nurturing
my mind and my soul with personal spiritual disciplines (prayer,
meditation, worship, service, fasting, etc.). I will continue
my personal growth through the study of books and scriptures
that exalt and glorify God and His Word, in order that I can
be more effective in helping others grow. |
| |
|
 |
I will look up to Jesus as my model teacher
and pastor. I desire to live his life (Galatians 2:20) as I
do the work (as a husband, daddy, pastor, brother and friend)
God has given me. |

My Life’s
Values |
 |
| |
| My Basic Values |
Value Statement
And Definition of Values |
MY
GOD |
I value my intimate and personal relationship with my
God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).
The single most important value I hold is a personal belief
in a living, loving, holy, personal sovereign God (Father,
Son and Holy Spirit.) My God desires to interact with me.
I will be conscious of my relationship with Him and place
it above every other value, priority or goal. My desire is
to grow in my knowing God. I believe that my life (my thoughts,
my words, my behavior) depends on my knowledge and understanding of God. I will
avoid every influence and activity that undermines my relationship
with God. Him will I worship alone.
|
MY
FAMILY |
I love my wife, Carmelita, and my children, Ben, Carmel,
Abel and David, as Jesus Christ loves the Church.
I will devote my life in loving them by using my time, talents,
gifts, abilities, heart and strength. I desire to see my wife
and my children come to attain what God has purposed for them.
I will consider their interests above my own. I will be praying
for my family daily for their health, safety, security, joy
and success. I will be helpers of their joy.
|
MY
CHURCH |
I value very highly my being a member of the body of Christ,
the Church. I am committed to staying faithful as an active
member of the church, and loving my spiritual brothers and
sisters.
I will seek to use the gifts God has given me in doing everything
I can to maximize my service to the church as a pastor, district leader, brother
and friend. I will seek to equip every member for the work
of ministry, to love them as my own family and to worship/celebrate
with them. I will use the resources God has given me to serve
my church. I wil continue to grow in grace and in knowledge
so I can better serve my spiritual family. |
THE WORLD |
I value the lost people of the world because my Lord Jesus
gave all he had, including his life, for them all. I believe that the work of mission and ministry is God's. He invites me (and all of us) to participate in this beautiful work He is doing.
Daily, I will pray for the Lord of the Harvest to give me
his love for the lost and to open my heart and open my mouth
so I can share the gospel message of Jesus Christ. I will
always look at every person I see as a child of God and that
God desires to give him or her eternal life and have a personal
relationship with him or her. I will use my gifts, resources,
talents, and abilities and rely on the Holy Spirit when I
share my faith. I will encourage others to evangelize and
do missions work. I also will serve my fellow man using the
time, talents, gifts and resources God has given me. |
