Day 9: We went to Barangay Boboin Hall, where our members (most of whom are women) were waiting. Pastor R.G. Cruz introduced the group to the women, and they shared with us some of their experiences during the flash flood that killed several hundred people in their community two years ago (the church here grew out of our disaster-relief ministry). The floodwaters left a mark on buildings about 5 feet high here, about 7 feet high at the high school. One woman said “maybe it is within God’s will that I will lose everything so that God will be my everything…”  We ate snacks with the women and children at the day care center.
